Sports Connect

Sports Connect has been a part of many teams. Previously owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods, and before that known as the company, Blue Sombrero. What has never changed no matter their name is that they have continually set the standard in sports technology services. They make sports easy by connecting administrators, coaches, teams, and families with tools that help save time, reduce burnout, and grow participation. While working at Sports Connect I led the design team that created themes for youth sports websites. There was a library of free themes each in around 40 color and background variations as well as the option to pay for a branded custom theme for your league. Each theme ran on a very specific set of modules so the challenge came in making each website feel new and different when the underlying base functionality was the same.
